2019 Estate Pinot Noir

TASTING NOTES

Now at seven years in bottle, the 2019 Estate Pinot Noir reflects the character of a warm, dry vintage with low yields and natural concentration, expressed through depth and structure rather than primary fruit intensity. The bright, tangy red fruits of youth have softened into darker cherry and ripe plum, layered with dried rose, subtle spice, and autumnal notes.  

The palate shows the hallmark concentration of the season. Fresh acidity provides line and energy, while savoury elements are present, adding intrigue without overwhelming the fruit core.  The finish is long and smooth, with a gentle savoury echo. 

Drinking beautifully now, yet with clear potential to evolve further in bottle.

FOOD PAIRING

Best paired with herb-crusted pork loin, mirroring the wine’s supple texture and savoury line. Miso-glazed eggplant also works well, its umami depth sitting comfortably alongside the cherry fruit and gentle spice.
