2022 Estate Pinot Noir
$42.00
TASTING NOTES
The 2022 vintage was marked by a cool, wet Spring, followed by a dry, mild Summer, allowing the Pinot Noir to ripen slowly and evenly. This long season produced fruit of outstanding natural acidity and concentration. Made in the traditional Burgundian method, the wine underwent wild yeast fermentation in open-top vats before maturing for twelve months in seasoned French oak. The result is a seductive and finely concentrated Pinot Noir with layered aromas of plum, dark cherry, and earthy spice.
Already drinking beautifully, this wine will evolve gracefully in bottle, developing forest floor and mushroom notes that reflect its cool-climate origins. A wine that shines at the table, effortlessly impressive.
FOOD PAIRING
Pinot comes into its own when matched with food. Serve it with soft cheese and you’ll see why. The creamy textures and subtle flavours let Pinot’s elegance shine.
Rich poultry dishes are another classic pairing. Try quail with dried cherries and a Pinot Noir sauce for a taste sensation you won’t soon forget.
And when it comes to mushrooms, it’s a match made in heaven. Their deep umami character draws out Pinot’s savoury side beautifully. Spaghetti with mushroom bolognese, anyone?
